 The Promise of the Holy Spirit

John 7:37-38  On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."

 

 

As a member of Gadsden Vineyard and an Elder, we ascribe to these beliefs:

 

Statement of Beliefs

 

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is God, 2nd person of the Trinity, who became a man, died by crucifixion thereby paying once and for all the debt of man’s sin to the Father, and was resurrected to life after the 3rd day thereafter.

 

 

 

            WE BELIEVE that all people are sinners by nature and choice and are therefore under condemnation; that GOD regenerates by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that JESUS CHRIST baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, often subsequent to regeneration.

 

 

 

            WE BELIEVE in the universal CHURCH, the living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.

 

 

 

            WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ORDINANCES to the Church, water baptism and Holy Communion.  

 

 

 

            WE BELIEVE in the personal, visible RETURN OF CHRIST to earth and the fulfillment and completion of His Kingdom; in the RESURRECTION OF THE BODY, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and the endless suffering of the wicked.

 

 

 

            WE BELIEVE that the BIBLE in its entirety is the inspired word of God and that its writings are eternal truths that are to be experienced and practiced by Believers in their daily lives.
